My creative space

I'm working on some tulle today. This is an endeavour that looked easy enough but is now testing my patience and general sense of humour.

Hmmm, am I cut out for this? Not sure.

The idea was to make some tulle flowers to sew onto this canopy for my daughter's bedroom. Both the tulle and the canopy I found at my local op shop last week. More about that here.

I was thinking I could use different coloured buttons for the centre of the flower. They are not exactly flourishing into the blooms I had pictured in my mind...more like wilting weeds. Anyway, as they say, it’s the thought that counts.

Think I need to take myself down the street and have a coffee!

Fabulous idea and they look great so far - have you tried layering the tulle? I always find tulle looks more effective that way (a bugger to cut though!) ;) Good luck! Kx
