Queen of the horders

My mum hordes everything. Throughout the years, all my family members, including myself, have taken their turn in trying to convince my mother to scale back on what we perceived as junk. Bottles, suitcases, stamps, shells, fossils, bricks, spoons, dresses, you name it, she hordes it. Like so many insights I've had since I've grown older, had children of my own and a home to nest in, I realise I was too hasty to cast judgement. Akin to a young Luke Skywalker receiving wisdom from Yoda, my mum once again is right...

"My daughter, one day, you too will have your own collection, cherish, you will".
