Flea market find

My flea market find this week is something I picked up some time ago but has been sitting in my garage patiently waiting its debut. I bought the pair for a whopping $5 and felt like the luckiest girl alive. I do however realise that whilst $5 may have been a bargain, re-wiring them and buying new shades may not turn out to be the most financially viable decision I've made. But hey, love is blind and I do love them.

I particularly love the beautiful detail of the soft green leaves and sunburnt yellow sunflower heads. Unfortunately my novice photography doesn't really give them justice.

Any ideas on what kind of shape I should consider for the shades?

They are such an unusual shape, I've never seen anything like them. You might have to take them with you when you buy your shades as their shape could be a little bit tricky. xo

They are beautiful. I love the painted flowers, they are very sweet. I'm not sure what shade would suit best but you've been given some great suggestions I look forward to seeing what you choose.:)

Those are lovely and so simple. I'm with Kate...I'll be interested to see what you match them up with! Here in the States, you can buy a lamp wiring kit that doesn't cost that much. I used to paint lamps and I remember it wasn't much to rewire them.

Wow, I think the shades should be plain as can be, to show off the beauty of these bases.

Wow that an interesting shape and great pattern. I think simple shades might be best, perhaps highlight those lovely colours in the pattern. Thanks so much for playing.

Lovely. I can't help with the rewiring but how about making some shades? I see them in a bright golden yellow or Olive green? But that's just me! Happy refurb!
